SUMMARY
Strong learning / development and inside sales leader with a demonstrated passion for creating and delivering learning journeys to support leaders at all levels across the commercial organization.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Develop and maintain strong business partnerships with commercial leaders at every level to understand business goals and strategies, and identify opportunities for learning and development programs or support
  • Evaluate training programs, curriculum, tools, platforms and corresponding training materials for multiple layers of management, to ensure alignment with business goals and strategies
  • Champion development, delivery, and management of learning journeys across multiple roles / levels.

  • Champion the development, delivery, and management of learning journeys / modules across multiple roles / levels
  • Proactively conduct on-going feedback discussions with leaders and key stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and relevancy of all learning and development program content.
  • Establishes structure and provides training and coaching for Provider Engagement Specialist (inside sales) team to support revenue growth in close collaboration with Field Sales team.
  • Collaborates and communicates closely with cross functional partners (e.g., HR, Compliance, Commercial Operations)
  • Manage the identification and selection of vendors, as well as subsequent relationships and project related to learning and development programs
  • Attend appropriate training classes to receive certification or maintain an advanced level of knowledge
  • Forecast future needs, manage budget and achieve financial targets

Additionally, the candidate will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment, make good decisions with limited information, gain consensus with multiple stakeholders and manage multiple levels of leadership while leading work and deliverables.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly leads team of Provider Engagement Specialists (inside sales personnel).

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor's degree (science or business preferred) or equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable job experience may be considered; MBA or advanced scientific degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years progressively responsible experience in clinical laboratory, pharmaceutical and/or medical sales leadership, with a minimum of 5 years in a training role. A focus on autoimmunity / immunology preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years leading an inside sales team.
  • Prior experience establishing a learning management system, leading projects and engaging learning and development vendors.
  • Demonstrated leadership and teaching/facilitation ability.
  • Proven ability in creating effective sales training materials.
  • Proven application of adult learning principles.
  • Experience in product launch (Sales, Managed Markets and/or Sales Training).
  • Proven ability to create, develop & lead projects
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and interdependently
  • Strong project management skills and detail orientation with proven track record of execution and results
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate teams, foster collaborative environment, negotiate and influence, exercise tact and diplomacy in stressful situations
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multiple departments as required to meet learning and development goals
  • Experience effectively utilizing technology to engage audiences
  • Ability to complete verbal and written evaluations of others.

  • Professionalism, integrity, and the ability to comply with strict policy, work in a highly regulated environment and maintain confidential information and data.
  • Skilled at negotiating with business partners or management and influencing senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
  • Proficient at creating and communicating a clear vision among team members and stakeholders
  • Effectively aligns resources and activities to achieve functional area and/or organizational goals.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamental of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.


REASONING ABILITY
Very high skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to travel 25% - 40% domestic for learning and development events as well as field sales training support
