Your Role

The Organizational Development and Performance team is comprised of 3 sub-teams: Leadership Development, Talent Mobility, and Talent and Performance Management. We seek to provide all our employees with opportunities to build their leadership capabilities at all levels and own their career growth and assess our talent fairly and to ultimately drive mobility and performance. Additionally, we enable enterprise-wide transformation through strategic change management initiatives.

As the Talent Mobility Specialist, Senior, you will report directly to the Senior Manager of Talent Mobility. In this role you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of mobility within our organization. You will work closely with various teams to design and implement initiatives that employees to take ownership of their career paths. Your responsibilities will include supporting a culture of mobility through communications, stakeholder engagement and training.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Partner to execute short- and long-range strategic plans for effective development, engagement and utilization of human resources
  • Partner to execute practices, processes and programs that enable the company's talent strategy
  • Partner to execute the organization's training and development strategy so that the skills, capabilities and performance of employees meet the organization's current and future needs
  • Partner to execute all training and development activities in an efficient, and cost-effective manner
  • Design and facilitate engaging career events to provide employees with knowledge and skills needed to navigate their careers effectively
  • Lead mobility communication efforts (creating communications plans, creating and maintaining our Growth and Development internal site, drafting blogs, creating presentations, presenting at business meetings)
  • Collaborate with our learning team to develop and deliver training programs that build coaching, growth mindset and feedback capabilities within the organization
  • Develop and maintain a variety of tools and resources, such as career conversation guides and professional development plans, to support employees in their career journey
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to iterate on mobility policies that align with our goals
  • Promote a mindset shift within the organization that emphasizes personal career ownership and a sustainable culture of mobility
  • Conduct internal and external research to identify industry trends, best practices, and emerging mobility opportunities to drive our offerings and ensure we ae staying ahead of the curve

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Requires strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Requires strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Requires experience supporting projects with aggressive timelines; demonstrated ability to be organized and show attention to detail, meet deadlines, and keep everyone informed of project status in a proactive way
  • Requires the ability to understand stakeholder needs, be responsive to feedback, ask thoughtful questions, and customize deliverables to stakeholder needs
  • Requires self direction to make progress with limited information or direction, takes initiative to seek support when needed, and can be agile and flexible
  • Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner both verbally and written to convey complex information
  • Requires familiarity instructional design and event management

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 77990.00 to $ 116930.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
