DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, the Interventional Cardiovascular EP Lab Radiology Technologist assists with diagnostic and interventional angiographic and cardiac Electrophysiology procedures cardiovascular, peripheral vascular, pulmonary vascular, cardiac ablations and device implants, including structural and adult congenital heart procedures. The incumbent Assists with endovascular surgical procedures in the OR Hybrid Room.

Performs general radiographic and fluoroscopic exams using fixed angiographic imaging equipment, performs and documents quality checks and resolves imaging equipment issues. This position is responsible for radiation safety, positioning and imaging of patients. Prepares, operates and ensures the proper functioning of equipment associated with the performance of these procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy, cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic waveform analysis and performs hemodynamic calculations. Must be certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support/Advance Resuscitation Training. The incumbent scrubs into procedures and assists the physician with sterile supplies and equipment at the procedure table.

This position contributes to and participates in training and evaluation of staff as a member of self-directed work teams. Participates in performance improvement projects within the department. Responsibilities include "oncall" when assigned. Other duties assigned as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduate of a formal radiology technology-training program in an AMA approved school.

  • California Radiology Technologist - Fluoroscopy (CRT-F).

  • Registered Technologist for Radiography issued by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT)).

  • BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date.

  • One (1) or more years of experience as a licensed radiology technologist.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • One (1) or more years of experience working in an interventional cardiac catheterization lab or Cardiac Electrophysiology labs.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $120,478 - $149,835 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $57.70 - $71.76

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
