This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Towne Centre Drive and remote. Local to Southern California.

DESCRIPTION

We are a small team team dedicated to providing an excellent Epic training experience for our front-line clinicians. We pride ourselves in taking ownership of our work, supporting each other every step of the way, and providing outstanding customer service. We work hard but we also love to have fun, celebrate each other, and build strong relationships.

In addition to providing Epic training for new hires, the Epic Principal Trainer is responsible for designing and maintaining curriculum for the assigned area(s). They also perform site visits in hospital and clinical areas, shadowing end users for workflow assessments and training effectiveness. The role provides in-person, at-the-elbow support during Go Lives and requires regular onsite presence in San Diego. The current opening is for an Inpatient Principal Trainer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training in EMR healthcare training experience, preferably with Epic, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus three (3) years of related EMR healthcare training experience, preferably with Epic, experience/training. Related experience also includes: healthcare information systems support experience within a large-scale healthcare organization.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Epic Inpatient certifications for ClinDoc and/or Orders.

  • Epic Training Environment certification.

  • Epic Clinical Informatics certification.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $94,400 - $176,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $45.21 - $84.67

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
