DESCRIPTION

The Ortho Surgery Scheduling Supervisor involves the administrative services and operations for health care clinics or centers, in accordance with federal, local, and internal standards, policies, and regulations. Typically includes operations, fiscal management, program planning, and/or external marketing activities. Management levels may include oversight of clinical patient care. Supervises clinic operations, typically spanning multiple providers, clinics and/or practices.

The Ortho Surgery Scheduling Supervisor will be a working supervisor supporting a surgeon(s) with the coordination of all aspects of scheduling scheduling.Subordinates include staff involved with professional operational functions. Oversight of administrative areas such as practice revenue management, billing systems and procedures, facilities and safety procedures, registration, new patient coordination, scheduling, medical records storage and maintenance, insurance authorizations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration or related area; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.

  • Three (3) or more years of ambulatory care experience.

  • Experience and proven success in skills to supervise support staff in clinic/center administration, and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Experience leading team initiatives.

  • Ambulatory Care experience.

  • Clinical Operations Experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Lead or supervisory experience.
  • Orthopedic Surgery experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $69,500 - $123,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $33.29 - $59.15

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
