The selected candidate will have a unique opportunity to develop a comprehensive, multidisciplinary headache program, leveraging UC San Diego's integrated health system and its renowned research capabilities.
The selected candidate will also work closely with departmental and service line leadership to develop and execute strategies that optimize the delivery of care, ensuring the highest quality services for UC San Diego patients.
Responsibilities include teaching, leading and participating in the clinical assessment and management of patients with headache, and/or research. These efforts will be supported by the outstanding clinical and scientific environment of UC San Diego and the Department of Neurosciences.
Candidates interested in working in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary team environment and are eager to bring innovative ideas to enhance headache care are encouraged to apply.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities, and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Candidates must have a MD degree or equivalent.
Candidates must have completed Neurology or similarly related training and be Board eligible or certified in Neurology or related fields.
Candidates must also have completed fellowship training in Headache Medicine or a related specialty.
Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California
