Scripps is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to support our Interventional Cardiology and Electrophysiologist in the Cath Lab at Scripps Mercy San Diego, ranked #1 in San Diego by US News and World Report.

The Nurse Practitioner will provide clinician expertise while rounding with Cardiac procedural patients, ranging from approximately 10-15 patients per day.

* The ideal candidate will have a Cardiology, Cath Lab and/or EP background, be self-directed and able to work independently.

* Having previous experience with the following structural heart procedures such as TAVR, Watchmans and MitraClip is also preferred.

Required Experience/Specialized Skills:

* Minimum one year experience within a Cath Lab or Cardiology environment.
Current California RN License.

* Nurse Practitioner credential required.

* Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.

* ACLS (AHA)

* Maintains medical staff credentialing as an allied health professional.

Preferred Certification/Education/Skills:

* NP in area of Cardiology is preferred.

* Ability to speak Spanish is recommended.

* 2 years' experience in the APN role

* TNCC and/or ATCN and CNS

* 3-5 years' experience in specialty area
