TemporaryEssential Job Duties
•Safely operates a University box truck with the responsibility of picking up surplus property items.
•Inspect items and determine the value before transporting the item(s).
•Must possess skills to quickly make sound judgments.
•Deliver (re-deliver) shipments of freight to customers and pick up or deliver storage.
•Occasionally drive the dump truck to the landfill.
•Presents a positive demeanor and shows respect with regard to campus customers and University property.
•Participates in the public sales including setup, assisting customers, checking receipt, and other related sales duties.
•Handles routine situations with a successful outcome.
•Organizes items in an efficient and safe manner for the Surplus Sale.
•Prints out correct paperwork for surplus requests, freight deliveries, and storage pickups and deliveries

Experience with material handling equipment such at dollies, pallet jacks, truck lift gates, & ratchet straps

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
•One to two years of vehicle operation experience.
•Forklift and reach truck experience a plus but not a requisite for the position
•Warehouse or stockroom experience.
