THE ROLE: Event Marketing Specialist

Job Summary:

Presidio is seeking an energetic and engaging event marketing specialist to plan, execute, and analyze results for Presidio's participation at alliance partner conferences and industry events. In this role, you will help conceptualize event ideas, liaise with vendors and guests, oversee event logistics, manage budgets, and lead post-event analysis and reporting. You'll collaborate with Partner/Campaign Marketing professionals, Presidio's Alliances team, and Sales and BU leadership to plan and execute agreed-upon plans.

To ensure success, you should possess excellent project management skills and have good marketing and communications experience. Your top-notch organizational skills and experience with budget management will give you the versatility to handle multiple shows for different audiences and the ability to problem-solve under pressure

Travel Requirements:

In this role you will be expected to travel up to 50%. It will be based in any location in the Western United States.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with Presidio's Marketing, Alliances and Sales teams, as well as conference organizers to define event goals, strategy, and requirements.
  • Preparing, presenting, and managing budgets and negotiating contracts.
  • Securing the venue, planning the layout, and liaising with vendors to determine booth requirements.
  • Coordinating and owning all details associated with conference meeting spaces.
  • Managing the booking and registration of vendors, sponsors, and guests.
  • Arranging travel and accommodation logistics, administration, and bookings.
  • Collaborating with the Marketing team on invitations and promotion via social media, emailers, and advertising.
  • Coordinating the logistical requirements such as security, equipment rentals, and catering services.
  • Running the floor to ensure the event operates smoothly.
  • Leading post-event follow up and results
  • Program managing Presidio's partner conference calendar and creating standardized event briefs that serve as a documented plan of record for each event

Required Skills:

  • Must be based in the Western United States
  • Excellent financial management abilities.
  • Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to perform under pressure.
  • Ability/willingness to travel 50% of the year

Additional Desired Skills:

  • Experience working in the technology industry

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • Overall 5-8 years of experience in event management/marketing
